Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, a senior BJP leader, invoked the Shaktimaan analogy during election meetings in Kerala. He argued that the CPI(M)-led LDF and Congress-led UDF were merely different personas of the same political force, highlighting their rivalry in the state but alliance elsewhere.

Addressing constituencies in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram, Singh referred to the Malayalam movies 'Ponman' and 'Bramayugam'. Using the Hindi superhero series Shaktimaan, starring Mukesh Khanna, Singh compared the opposition to the alter ego of the main character, suggesting a similar dual identity shared by UDF and LDF.

Singh pointed to these movies in his critique of state-sponsored gold smuggling, alleging involvement close to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. He called for a Kerala story centered on development, progress, and peace rather than controversy. Assembly elections in Kerala are set for April 9.
