In a notable escalation of election vigilance, Tamil Nadu election flying squads have commenced inspections of vehicles belonging to prominent Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leaders. On Thursday, the squad closely examined the vehicles of Tamil Nadu Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi and party MP Kanimozhi as part of routine monitoring.

Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, representing the DMK in the Thiruverumbur constituency, faced an inspection while campaigning, highlighting the intense scrutiny candidates endure in the run-up to the elections. The Election Commission's flying squads have actively stepped up their operations, ensuring compliance with the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) ahead of the April 23 polls.

In Sivaganga, similar checks were conducted on Kanimozhi's convoy. As the election dawns, she remains confident in the DMK's prospects, advocating the success of the 'Dravidian Model 2.0'. The political climate is further charged with DMK leaders emphasizing ongoing developmental achievements under Chief Minister MK Stalin's tenure, as the state gears up for the electoral battle.
