Udhayanidhi Stalin, DMK Youth Wing Secretary, has officially entered the race for a second consecutive term in the Chepauk-Thiruvallikeni constituency. On Thursday, he filed his nomination papers ahead of the April 23 Assembly elections, attended by a large following of party cadres and senior leaders.
As part of his election declaration, Udhayanidhi affirmed family assets worth over Rs 33 crore, with personal movable assets of Rs 12.92 crore and immovable assets of Rs 7.72 crore. His spouse, Krithika, has movable assets valued at Rs 13.25 crore. Importantly, they declared no financial liabilities.
Amidst ongoing legal battles related to speeches inciting enmity, Udhayanidhi remains optimistic about his chances, praising the transformative impact of the Dravidian Model. He characterized the election as a pivotal moment for protecting Tamil Nadu's autonomy and expressed determination to confront central policy imposition.
