In a political clash that highlights Tamil Nadu's concerns, DMK MP Kanimozhi has criticized AIADMK chief Edappadi K Palaniswami for his position on the delimitation exercise, accusing him of showing indifference towards any reduction in the state's Lok Sabha representation.
Kanimozhi alleges that Palaniswami's apparent support for the Centre's decision could facilitate legislation unfavorable to Tamil Nadu. The AIADMK leader, however, assures that the state will remain unaffected, backed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah's promise.
Speaking at a campaign for DMK's candidate Geetha Jeevan, Kanimozhi reaffirmed the party's long-standing demand for women's reservation and signaled readiness for agitation if Tamil Nadu's Lok Sabha seats were reduced.
