BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has launched a scathing response to Congress leader Jairam Ramesh, accusing the opposition of having "minds that have turned to scrap." Dubey addressed Ramesh's criticism over the timing of the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam notification, which Ramesh labeled as "absolutely bizarre."

On social media platform X, Ramesh expressed confusion over the activation of the 2023 bill before amendments were finalized. Dubey fired back, questioning if Congress would bear responsibility when Lok Sabha seat allocation shifts after the upcoming census. He recalled Priyanka Gandhi's proposal for proportional reservations within the current seats.

Meanwhile, the Modi government aims to implement the women's reservation policy ahead of the 2029 Elections with necessary amendments. However, opposition parties are concerned about a proposed delimitation bill increasing Lok Sabha seats based on the 2011 census, fearing reduced representation for southern states. They demand early enforcement of the Women's Reservation Act but oppose the delimitation plan.
