In a call for unity and collaboration, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar urged the central government to include all political parties in discussions before making major constitutional changes, such as the 'Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam' and the delimitation process.

Speaking at a campaign rally for Congress candidate Gopinath Palaniyappan in Erode (East), Shivakumar emphasized the necessity of respecting the country's federal structure and the voices of states. He warned against any attempts to unilaterally alter political representation.

Shivakumar also criticized the Centre for financial neglect of southern states, despite their considerable economic contributions. Predicting success for the DMK-led coalition in Tamil Nadu's upcoming elections, he highlighted regional welfare programs under Chief Minister M K Stalin's leadership.
