Vijay, TVK chief, led a large roadshow in Chennai for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. Despite drawing massive crowds in T Nagar, he skipped the Egmore (SC) constituency. Vijay, the actor-turned-politician and TVK chief, launched a significant roadshow in Chennai on Wednesday, as part of his campaign for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. The event pulled tremendous crowds in T Nagar and Thousand Lights areas.
However, Vijay did not attend a scheduled visit to the reserved constituency of Egmore (SC). TVK General Secretary 'Bussy' N Anand, addressing reporters, dismissed questions about Vijay's absences as being merely 'for the sake of asking.' Anand emphasized strong turnout and optimism regarding the TVK's performance.
While TVK has nominees for 233 of 234 constituencies, it faced complications in Edappadi due to incomplete applications. Concerns arise from skipped visits, especially in reserved districts, sending uncertain signals to voters. Pre-roadshow advisories urged supporters not to trail the convoy and suggested at-risk groups view online.
