Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Saturday strongly criticized the Congress and the INDIA bloc, alleging a 'historic betrayal' against southern states by opposing the delimitation bill.
The bill was designed to safeguard the interests of southern regions once the Article 81 freeze on seat proportions concludes following the Census post-2026.
Amit Shah, Union Home Minister, offered amendments to increase representation, but the opposition remained silent, favoring politics over people, Kumar claimed.
