Culinary Allegory: Mann's Jibe at AAP Defectors

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann used a culinary analogy to criticize seven AAP defectors, likening them to spices that work well together but are insignificant alone. This followed the surprising exit of AAP members to BJP, with Mann accusing BJP of undermining the AAP's governance in Punjab through defections.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann delivered a stinging critique of seven Rajya Sabha members who defected from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) using a culinary metaphor. Mann likened the defectors to individual spices like ginger and garlic—useful in combination but inconsequential alone.

Mann's comments were sparked by a sudden announcement on Friday that AAP members Raghav Chadha, Sandeep Pathak, and five others were joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). This decision followed Chadha's claim that AAP had deviated from its core values, prompting his and others' defection.

Mann accused the BJP of attempts to weaken the AAP in Punjab, asserting that the BJP was discomfited by the legislative strengthening against sacrilege and significant improvements in public infrastructure under AAP’s governance.
