IUML Leader Responds to CPI(M)'s Allegations Amid Election Tensions

P M A Salam, IUML's State General Secretary, claims CPI(M) is 'panicking' as they anticipate defeat in the Kerala Assembly elections. He dismisses allegations of a UDF-BJP deal in certain constituencies as CPI(M)'s anticipatory attempt to justify expected losses, suggesting CPI(M)'s own collusion with the BJP.

P M A Salam, the IUML State General Secretary, addressed concerns over recent accusations made by the CPI(M) on potential UDF alliances with the BJP in Kerala's Kuttiady and Nadapuram constituencies. Salam stated these claims were signs of CPI(M)'s panic over an impending electoral defeat.

Citing feedback from grassroots workers, Salam suggested the CPI(M) was bracing for a significant loss in the state Assembly elections, which unfolded on April 9, with results due on May 4. Salam interpreted the CPI(M)'s remarks as groundwork for 'anticipatory bail' against the outcome and criticized their integrity over electoral strategies.

Meanwhile, Parakkal Abdulla, another IUML figure and contestant from Kuttiady, rebutted CPI(M) State Secretary M V Govindan's assertions of UDF's secretive ties with the BJP, emphasizing past accusations linking him and Congress MP Shafi Parambil to terrorism couldn't align with current claims.
