Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a rally at Thakurnagar in the North 24 Parganas district, sharply criticized the Trinamool Congress (TMC) for its alleged protection of those who commit crimes against women. Modi highlighted the commitment of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to women's safety with candidates like Rekha Patra and Ratna Debnath.
Further, PM Modi assured the Matua community of citizenship rights under the Citizenship Amendment Act, refuting TMC's claims about the law. The Prime Minister emphasized the BJP's support for the Matua community, originating from East Pakistan, and its role in the ongoing West Bengal assembly elections.
In a bid to rally support against the TMC, Modi called out the party's past as fraught with corruption and neglect, urging voters to choose BJP for a secure future.
