Arvind Sharma Enters Bihar Legislative Council Bypoll Race
Senior BJP leader Arvind Sharma filed his nomination for the Bihar legislative council bypoll, following former minister Mangal Pandey's election to the state assembly. The nomination was filed at the Assembly secretariat, witnessed by Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and other NDA leaders. The bypoll voting is scheduled for May 12.

Senior BJP leader Arvind Sharma has officially entered the race for the Bihar legislative council bypoll. The by-election was triggered after former minister Mangal Pandey moved to the state assembly.
Sharma submitted his nomination papers on Thursday at the Assembly secretariat. He was accompanied by a host of NDA leaders, including Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and Bihar BJP president Sanjay Saraogi. Representatives from JD(U) and LJP(RV), Umesh Kushwaha and Raju Tiwari, were also present.
The seat was vacated by Pandey, a former state BJP president, after his election from the Siwan assembly constituency in November last year. According to the Election Commission, the deadline for withdrawing nominations is May 4, with voting slated for May 12.
