Tensions gripped a village in Maharashtra's Beed district after a group of miscreants stopped and disrupted a procession honoring Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. According to police, the disturbance occurred at Dombari in Patoda tehsil around 7 p.m. on April 29.

The procession was organized to mark Dr. Ambedkar's birth anniversary, which is typically celebrated on April 14, villagers said. However, the celebration took a violent turn when the chariot was halted, and stones were hurled at the participants, triggering widespread panic.

Women and children were reportedly assaulted during the chaos, and unidentified individuals allegedly threw mud on the community’s meal. Angered villagers, including many women, have approached the Superintendent of Police in Beed, demanding strict action. Police have initiated investigations and are in the process of registering a case.
