BJP spokesperson Tom Vadakkan announced on Monday that the party is 'in the reckoning' in West Bengal, showcasing confidence in ongoing Assembly election trends across four states and Puducherry. In an interview with ANI, Vadakkan highlighted the complex political environment in Tamil Nadu, where several influential parties and regional identities vie for power.

Vadakkan elaborated that the BJP was already strong in Assam, and emphasized the multifaceted political scene in Tamil Nadu, noting the presence of prominent parties like DMK, AIADMK, and the rising influence of actor Vijay. He underscored the election's role in shaping the Dravidian narrative that guides voter choices in the region.

Vadakkan noted the significance of the Dravidian movement in Tamil Nadu's politics, stressing that the true representation as a Dravidian party would be determined by the election's outcome. Assembly results on Monday indicated varying leads across states, with TVK leading in 90 Tamil Nadu constituencies, while BJP in West Bengal was ahead in 63 constituencies against AITC's 37.
