Dilip Ghosh Leads in Kharagpur Sadar Assembly
Dilip Ghosh, a former BJP MP and state president, leads by 3,156 votes in Kharagpur Sadar over TMC's Pradip Sarkar after one round of counting. Ghosh has 6,229 votes, Sarkar has 3,073 votes, and CPI(M)'s Madhusudan Roy trails with 344 votes. There remain 19 more counting rounds.

Dilip Ghosh, a former BJP MP and state president, has established a lead of 3,156 votes in the Kharagpur Sadar assembly constituency elections, according to the Election Commission. Ghosh secured 6,229 votes, whereas his closest competitor, Pradip Sarkar of the TMC, garnered 3,073 votes.
CPI(M) candidate Madhusudan Roy was positioned third, earning a mere 344 votes. So far, only one round of counting has been completed, and there are 19 more rounds to proceed.
Both Ghosh and Sarkar have previously served as MLAs from this constituency, with Ghosh also having represented the Medinipur Lok Sabha seat.
