The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set for a landmark victory in the West Bengal assembly elections, according to Madhya Pradesh minister Kailash Vijayvargiya. He described the win as a significant gift from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to the nation.
Vijayvargiya compared the BJP's achievement in West Bengal to other national milestones such as the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and the passage of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). According to Election Commission data, the BJP was leading in 192 seats, with the Trinamool Congress trailing at 96 seats.
The minister criticized the Trinamool Congress, accusing it of turning West Bengal into a hub for anti-national activities. He claimed that under the TMC's governance, the region became a conduit for terrorists, illegal weapons, and counterfeit currency, thus compromising national security.
