BJP's Sweeping Victory in Assam Assembly Elections
The BJP has secured a significant lead in the Assam Assembly Elections, winning 11 seats and maintaining an advantage in numerous constituencies. The results illustrate a strong performance by BJP and allies, overshadowing opposition parties like Congress and AIUDF. Ministers Pijush Hazarika, Ranoj Pegu, and others have won their seats convincingly.

In the recently concluded Assam Assembly Elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has established a commanding lead, according to the latest reports from the Election Commission. The BJP secured 11 seats and was ahead in 71, while its ally, the Bodoland People's Front (BPF), bagged one seat and led in nine others.
The Congress party, on the other hand, was ahead in 19 seats, with other parties, such as AIUDF and the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), making modest progress. Notably, the AIUDF, led by Badruddin Ajmal, and the Akhil Gogoi-led Raijor Dal, each secured or led in a seat or two. An Independent candidate also showed a lead in one constituency.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma bolstered BJP's success with a hefty lead in Jalukbari constituency, outperforming Congress' Bidisha Neog by 73,750 votes. Meanwhile, other significant BJP victories include Pijush Hazarika in Jagiroad and Ranoj Pegu in Dhemaji. The BPF's Charan Boro, retaining the Mazbat constituency, was another highlight of the election results.
