Pijush Hazarika Secures Fourth Consecutive Win in Jagiroad
Assam minister Pijush Hazarika won the Jagiroad assembly seat, defeating Congress nominee by 93,584 votes. A BJP leader, Hazarika has been MLA from Jagiroad for three consecutive terms since 2016, having initially won in Raha in 2011. A key ally of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Hazarika previously served under Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.

In a significant political victory, Assam minister Pijush Hazarika secured the Jagiroad assembly seat, defeating his Congress rival by a margin of 93,584 votes, revealed the Election Commission's data.
Hazarika, a prominent BJP figure, extended his reign over Jagiroad for a remarkable fourth term, continuing his uninterrupted journey as an MLA since 2011.
His compelling political journey began with his win in the Raha seat. Known for his close alliance with Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Hazarika brings extensive experience, having served in key ministerial portfolios under both the current and previous BJP-led government.
