TMC's Biman Banerjee Secures Victory in Baruipur Paschim

Biman Banerjee, the West Bengal Assembly Speaker and prominent TMC leader, secured a significant victory in the Baruipur Paschim seat, defeating BJP's Biswajit Paul by 17,862 votes. Banerjee received a total of 1,04,781 votes, outshining Paul, who got 86,919 votes, and CPI(M)'s Md Lahek Ali with 23,479 votes.

Biman Banerjee, a senior TMC leader and the current West Bengal Assembly Speaker, emerged victorious in the Baruipur Paschim assembly constituency. His win was confirmed with a margin of 17,862 votes over his nearest competitor Biswajit Paul of the BJP, according to the Election Commission.

Banerjee, who has been a sitting MLA, successfully garnered 1,04,781 votes, showcasing his strong support base in the South 24 Parganas district. The election saw substantial competition, but Banerjee's established political presence helped him maintain the lead.

BJP's Biswajit Paul trailed behind with a tally of 86,919 votes, while CPI(M)'s Md Lahek Ali secured 23,479 votes, landing in the third position. These results underscore TMC's continuing influence in the region.
