AINRC-Led NDA Clinches Victory in Puducherry Assembly Elections
The AINRC-led NDA wins the April 9 Puducherry Assembly elections, securing a successive term. AINRC leader N Rangasamy claims both contested seats, with the party winning 11 seats total. The opposition DMK and Congress secure six seats collectively. BJP and other NDA allies also secure seats.

The AINRC-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has emerged victorious in the Puducherry Assembly elections held on April 9, positioning itself to form the government for another term. Chief Minister N Rangasamy, who leads AINRC, won from both Thattanchavady and Mangalam constituencies.
According to the latest Election Commission data, the party secured 11 out of the 30 contested seats, while NDA coalition partners, including the BJP, AIADMK, and LJK, also secured various wins. The BJP claimed four seats, with prominent party member A Namassivayam among the winners.
In a parallel development, actor Vijay's political outfit, TVK, achieved victories in neighboring Tamil Nadu and within two constituencies in Puducherry. The opposition DMK managed to win five seats, while Congress secured one. Key political figure and former CM Ve Vaithilingam lost to Rangasamy.
