Dilip Ghosh Secures Victory in Kharagpur Sadar
Former BJP MP Dilip Ghosh won the Kharagpur Sadar assembly constituency by a significant margin of 30,506 votes against TMC's Pradip Sarkar. Ghosh secured 89,885 votes while Sarkar got 59,379. CPI(M)'s Madhusudan Roy managed only 5,451 votes, finishing third.

In the latest political developments from West Bengal, the former BJP MP Dilip Ghosh has emerged victorious in the Kharagpur Sadar assembly constituency elections. Garnering 89,885 votes, Ghosh defeated his closest competitor from TMC, Pradip Sarkar, by a margin of 30,506 votes, as reported by the Election Commission.
Ghosh, who previously held the position of BJP state president, has also served as a member of parliament for the Medinipur Lok Sabha seat. His political experience and popularity seem to have played a significant role in this electoral success against Sarkar, who polled 59,379 votes.
The contest was rounded off by CPI(M)'s Madhusudan Roy, who managed to gather only 5,451 votes, securing the third spot. Both Ghosh and Sarkar have a history of representing the Kharagpur Sadar constituency as former MLAs, making this election a notable showdown.
