Kerala's Political Pendulum: A New Era for Congress

In a historic electoral shift, the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) has reclaimed power in Kerala, ousting the CPI(M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) after 10 years. Discussions for forming the new government have commenced, with several leaders vying for the Chief Minister's position. The BJP also made electoral gains, winning three seats in the Assembly.

The Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) has staged a significant comeback in Kerala, securing 102 of the 140 Assembly seats in a decisive electoral outcome that displaced the CPI(M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF). Amidst celebrations, key UDF leaders have begun discussions to form the new government. The competition for the Chief Minister position is heating up, with contenders including V D Satheesan, Ramesh Chennithala, and K C Venugopal. The party leadership has tasked an AICC team to consult MLAs on the matter.
