Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha has raised serious allegations against the Punjab government, accusing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of 'vendetta politics' targeting MPs who left the party for the BJP. Chadha claims these MPs, including himself, are being harassed through state machinery misuse, pressing fabricated cases against them.

Chadha, joined by three other MPs, approached President Droupadi Murmu, presenting their grievances and seeking intervention. He highlighted specific incidents of intimidation—ranging from attacks on former cricketer Harbhajan Singh’s residence to disruptions in industrialist MP Rajendra Gupta’s operations—against defected MPs.

The contentious political climate has prompted Chadha and his colleagues to assert their constitutional rights, urging Punjab officials to resist political pressure and adhere to legal principles. The MPs received assurance from the President on upholding democratic rights, while Chadha warned the AAP's governance tactics could have dire consequences.
