In a stunning political debut that has sent ripples across the region, actor-turned-politician Vijay and his Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam party emerged victorious in Tamil Nadu's assembly elections, clinching a remarkable 108 seats.
Congratulatory messages poured in from Sri Lanka, particularly resonating in the Tamil-majority Northern Province, where youth celebrated Vijay's resounding success. Namal Rajapaksa, the opposition's National Organiser, extended his greetings to Vijay, emphasizing the work that lies ahead and the potential for positive bilateral relations between the two regions.
