In a scathing critique of political strategies, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi accused major parties, including Mamata Banerjee's TMC, of 'soft Hindutva' tactics. He urged Muslims to unite and forge an independent political presence, emphasizing the need for elected representatives who truly advocate for their community's development.
Owaisi attributed the TMC's electoral defeat in West Bengal to factors like the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of votes and the exploitation of Muslims. He highlighted the BJP's significant victory over TMC, indicating secular parties' inability to curb BJP's rise, and stressed the importance of respecting the voters' choice.
Additionally, Owaisi questioned Assam's governance under Himanta Biswa Sarma, denouncing alleged anti-Muslim displacements. He also called for an investigation into a hate crime in Uttar Pradesh, seeking justice and compensation for the victim's family. Owaisi praised the IUML's success in Kerala, viewing it as a hopeful sign for Muslim representation.
