AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has urged respect for the electoral choice of West Bengal voters, who favored the BJP in the recent assembly polls. Despite AIMIM candidates failing to secure victories, Owaisi acknowledged the decisive BJP win.
Owaisi voiced skepticism about the effectiveness of so-called secular parties in curbing the BJP's momentum, suggesting that past strategies from parties like AAP, Shiv Sena, and TMC, which attempted 'soft Hindutva', have not stemmed the saffron wave.
With BJP clinching 206 seats, Owaisi calls on the Muslim community to establish independent political leadership to assert their interests amidst the changing political landscape.
