Political Shifts: Congress Triumphs in Kerala, BJP Breaks Ground in West Bengal, Vijay Makes Waves in Tamil Nadu

Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah attributed TMC's West Bengal loss to anti-incumbency and youth support in Tamil Nadu for Vijay's TVK success. In Kerala, Congress-led UDF secured a remarkable win against LDF. BJP celebrated a historic victory in West Bengal, forming its first government, while Vijay's TVK reshaped Tamil Nadu politics.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah attributed the Trinamool Congress's electoral defeat in West Bengal to strong anti-incumbency sentiments and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) drive, which removed 91 lakh votes. He credited youthful voters for supporting Vijay's TVK landmark performance in Tamil Nadu.

Siddaramaiah noted that Mamata Banerjee's 15-year tenure might have contributed to the TMC's loss, while Tamil Nadu's youth sought change by backing TVK founder Vijay. Admiring his party's progress, Siddaramaiah applauded the Congress-led United Democratic Front's (UDF) significant victory in Kerala, which exceeded expectations and concluded a decade of LDF governance.

BJP secured a groundbreaking victory, forming its first government in West Bengal. It won 207 seats, a significant leap from 77 in the previous assembly polls, marking a substantial departure from its marginal position in a state long dominated by the Congress, Left parties, and later the Trinamool Congress.
