On Tuesday, Vijay, the founder of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), thanked the people of Tamil Nadu for granting him a transformative mandate in the April 23 Assembly elections.
The party, launched in 2024, made an impressive debut by securing 108 out of 234 seats, with Vijay winning from the Perambur and Tiruchirappalli East constituencies. He called the election a 'miracle' that has shaken Indian politics.
Vijay credited young voters, particularly the youth, for the party's success, attributing the mandate to a rejection of money power in politics. He expressed gratitude to voters and TVK supporters, hoping for continued support from those who did not vote for TVK.
