RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat emphasized that population control policies and the Uniform Civil Code require public cooperation and long-term strategic thinking. He addressed the importance of eradicating caste-based politics, which persists due to societal identification with caste divisions.
In a lecture titled 'Social Harmony as a Catalyst for National Development' at JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Bhagwat stressed that promoting harmony among religions and communities is vital for societal progress. He urged people to practice equality in their social interactions rather than rely on slogans.
Bhagwat responded to a question on the Population Control Bill and Uniform Civil Code, emphasizing that while the RSS is a social organization and not the government, public awareness and cooperation are essential for successful policy implementation. He reflected on past aggressive enforcement during the Emergency, which resulted in political backlash.
