Marking the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta commended the Indian Armed Forces' bravery in responding to the Pahalgam terror attack. Operation Sindoor, launched on May 7 last year, targeted nine terror hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, resulting in the elimination of at least 100 terrorists.
Gupta, in a statement on X, praised the gallant efforts of the Indian Army as they collaborated with the Air Force, Navy, and BSF in executing the operation from May 7 to May 10. The operation served as a retaliatory measure against the April 22, 2025, Pahalgam attack, which claimed 26 lives, predominantly tourists.
The military strategy focused on dismantling terrorist networks along the western border, highlighting the coordination and strength of the Indian military forces against terrorism.
