AICC observers Mukul Wasnik and Ajay Maken have wrapped up a series of meetings with Congress MLAs in Kerala, aiming to gather opinions on the selection of the next Chief Minister. This comes in the wake of the Congress-led UDF's triumphant performance in the recent Assembly elections.
Following the victory, the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting exuded an atmosphere of jubilation, described by Wasnik as 'remarkable' and 'historic.' While reporters pressed for details about the decision-making process for the chief ministerial position, Wasnik refrained from providing specific insights.
The unanimous decision made during the meeting was the passage of a resolution, initiated by KPCC president Sunny Joseph and supported by CLP leader V D Satheesan, authorizing the Congress president to choose the next CLP leader. Individual consultations with MLAs are ongoing, and a final report will be submitted to the party's high command.
