A book authored by Congress leader V D Satheesan, who is among the contenders for the post of Kerala chief minister, will be released on Saturday. The book, titled 'Adam Nee Evide Aakunnu' (Adam, Where Are You), has been listed by publisher DC Books on its online store with May 9 as the release date. The Malayalam book, categorised under speeches, has 200 pages and is priced at Rs 252. According to the summary on the publisher's website, Satheesan has described the Bible as a book that had a decisive influence on his political life. ''Reflecting that influence, the book 'Adam Nee Evide Aakunnu' contains 32 speeches delivered by him. It is a collection of speeches addressed to various Christian communities,'' the website of the publisher states. Satheesan is known as an avid book lover and is often seen reading during his travels. He was the prominent face of the UDF campaign in the recent Assembly elections, in which the front won 102 of the 140 seats. Satheesan, K C Venugopal, and Ramesh Chennithala are considered the main contenders for the CM's post, with the final decision expected from the Congress high command in the coming days. Supporters of Satheesan have been holding demonstrations across the state, demanding that he be made the next CM of Kerala.
