Senior TMC leader Subrata Bakshi was hospitalized after sustaining a severe head injury from a fall at his residence on Monday, according to party sources.
As the state president of the party, Bakshi was rushed to a private hospital in the city following the incident. Sources indicated that the fall occurred in his bathroom early in the morning, resulting in significant head trauma.
Medical assessments, including a CT scan, disclosed internal haemorrhage and blood clotting, prompting close medical supervision. Surgeons are considering an operation within the next 24 hours while exploring whether a stroke preceded his fall.
