Modi in Guwahati: Historic Oath-Taking Ceremony for Assam's Third BJP-NDA Term

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Guwahati on Monday night for the swearing-in ceremony of Assam's third BJP-led NDA government. Upon arrival at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, he was warmly greeted by CM-designate Himanta Biswa Sarma and other BJP leaders.

The ceremony will mark the beginning of a new term under Sarma's leadership, a continuation of the party's governance from the previous term. Four more MLAs, including representatives from the BJP's allies AGP and BPF, will also be taking oath. Sarma expressed optimism about Modi's support in a social media post.

The event is drawing a considerable roster of prominent figures, including Union ministers, chief ministers, industrialists, and religious leaders, all converging in Guwahati to witness the historic occasion. The ceremony will be held at the Khanapara Veterinary College field, prepared to accommodate thousands.
