Himanta Biswa Sarma was sworn in for a second term as Assam's Chief Minister. The ceremony was attended by prominent leaders, signaling the formation of the third successive NDA government in the state. The NDA coalition secured a significant majority in the assembly elections.

Himanta Biswa Sarma has been inaugurated as Assam's Chief Minister for a second consecutive term. The oath of office was administered by Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya at a grand ceremony in Guwahati's Veterinary Ground.

The event saw attendance from high-profile figures, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, and BJP president Nitin Nabin. It marks the beginning of the third successive NDA government in Assam.

Sarma's victory was supported by a record win of 102 seats in the 126-member assembly, with 82 from the BJP. Allies Asom Gana Parishad and the Bodoland Peoples' Front each secured 10 seats, strengthening the coalition's governance efforts in the state.
