The ceremony, attended by prominent political figures and industry leaders, marks Sarma's historic second term as the first BJP Chief Minister of Assam.
US Ambassador Sergio Gor emphasized strengthening commercial ties between the United States and Assam on Tuesday. The announcement came as Gor attended the swearing-in ceremony of Assam's Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, marking his second term in office.
With Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other key political and industrial figures in attendance, Gor highlighted the potential for mutually beneficial business ventures under Sarma's leadership.
The grand event, held at the Veterinary College Field in Khanapara, saw the participation of Union Ministers and a host of regional MLAs taking oath alongside the Chief Minister.
