N Rangasamy assumed office as Chief Minister of Puducherry after being sworn in on Wednesday. The event was presided over by Puducherry Lieutenant Governor K Kailashnathan, with BJP National President Nitin Nabin in attendance.

In his post-ceremony remarks, Chief Minister Rangasamy expressed gratitude to the voters, pledging the NDA government’s focus on advancing welfare schemes. 'We aim to implement all necessary projects effectively for the welfare of citizens,' Rangasamy stated, emphasizing a vision to transform Puducherry akin to Singapore.

BJP leader A Namassivayam, sworn in as a Cabinet minister, promised continuity of existing schemes alongside new initiatives. AINRC leader Malladi Krishna Rao mentioned further details about ministerial roles and portfolios would be revealed soon, highlighting anticipated improvements in tourism and infrastructure.
