During the 'Kalam & Kavach' conclave, he emphasized jointness, atmanirbharta, and innovation as transformative reforms, acknowledging the challenges of adopting theatre commands.

Operation Sindoor, initiated on May 7 last year, involved precision strikes to avenge a terror attack, revealing India's capability in conducting non-contact warfare. As modern warfare evolves, the need for quick victories and clear withdrawal strategies is imperative, Chauhan noted, with integrated systems playing a crucial role in dominance.

With India's military reforms underway, Gen Chauhan stressed the importance of multi-domain operations and theatre command integration. As he hands over to the next CDS, the focus remains on enhancing tri-services synergy and achieving strategic autonomy through economic innovation.
