Union Minister G Kishan Reddy attributed the recent increase in fuel prices in India to turmoil in the global economy, dispelling notions of an internal mishap. In a discussion with ANI, he emphasized that the challenges extend beyond India's borders, highlighting a worldwide economic crisis fueled by disruptions in petroleum, fertilizer, and gold supplies.

Reddy lauded Prime Minister Modi's proactive steps, noting efforts to engage with over 40 countries to ensure a stable fuel supply chain. Despite these endeavors, he acknowledged that persistent global challenges have hampered progress, underscoring the changing international economic landscape.

He urged public understanding and backing for the Prime Minister's strategies, explaining that global tensions, particularly involving the US, Israel, and Iran, have strained energy supplies, driving a Rs 3 rise in fuel prices across India. This geopolitical strife exacerbates concerns in critical maritime routes and affects energy markets globally.
