Former Union Minister and Congress leader Chinta Mohan staged a protest on Saturday, demanding the immediate implementation of the 12th Pay Revision Commission (PRC) for Andhra Pradesh government employees. Accusing the state government of neglecting employees' interests, Congress leaders gathered in front of the Guntur Collectorate, urging swift action.

Addressing the demonstrators, Mohan revealed that nearly six lakh government employees in Andhra Pradesh face significant challenges due to stalled revisions in their pay structure. He emphasized that around Rs 30,000 crore in pending dues remain unsettled. Mohan urged the government to expedite the release of these arrears alongside the 12th PRC.

Mohan extended his criticism to the state government's handling of land acquisitions in the Amaravati region, alleging the exploitation of Dalit lands for the benefit of wealthy buyers. Further, he condemned the central government's recent fuel price hikes, suggesting that previous Union governments managed to maintain stable prices even during financially tough times.
