Adhikari's Promise: Restoring Voter Rights in Diamond Harbour

Suvendu Adhikari, West Bengal's Chief Minister, accuses TMC's Abhishek Banerjee of denying Diamond Harbour voters their rights for a decade. In a bold address on Saturday, West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari charged that the people of Diamond Harbour have been denied their voting rights for a decade since TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee emerged on the political scene. Assuring a shift in the current scenario, he confirmed that the upcoming May 21 repolling in the Falta Assembly seat would restore voter rights.

Speaking at a BJP workers' rally, Adhikari spotlighted a special development package for Falta, part of previously promised pre-poll initiatives. The Chief Minister, endorsing BJP candidate Debangshu Ponda, called on voters to favor the party by a significant margin, while urging peaceful polling and cautioning against lawlessness.

In a pledge of accountability, Adhikari revealed plans to probe properties of the Banerjee-affiliated firm, 'Leaps and Bounds,' and to address past political wrongdoings. Adhikari highlighted that steps would be taken to arrest those involved in crimes tied to central fund misuse and emphasized strict action against the miscreants responsible for violence against women.
