The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has clarified that senior leaders Praful Patel and Sunil Tatkare retain their positions as national working president and Maharashtra unit head, respectively. This clarification comes amidst rumors about these leaders being barred from using the party office in Delhi.

Addressing the media, NCP's national general secretary Avinash Adik labeled these rumors as unfounded, affirming Patel and Tatkare's enduring leadership roles. "The misleading reports have tarnished the reputation of our leaders and the party," Adik stated, indicating that legal action for defamation is forthcoming.

Questions about Patel and Tatkare's positions emerged following the absence of their titles in a document submitted to the Election Commission. Following increased speculation, Solapur district NCP president Umesh Patil confirmed the press conference was held under Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar's directive to clear the air.
