The confrontation unfolded during a state executive meeting meant to discuss a protest regarding an alleged NEET examination paper leak.
Tensions flared as supporters of Karnataka Youth Congress President Manjunath Gowda and State Vice-President Deepika Reddy engaged in heated exchanges. The altercation reportedly intensified into physical pushing when some suspended office-bearers demanded the right to voice their concerns during the meeting.
Approximately 15 office-bearers had been temporarily suspended for missing meetings and protests, drawing criticism from within the organization. Order was eventually restored as senior leaders stepped in to de-escalate the conflict.
