Amalraj appointed Greater Chennai Police Commissioner
A 1996-batch IPS officer, A Amalraj, has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Police for Greater Chennai, replacing Abhin Dinesh Modak.

Senior IPS officer A Amalraj was on Thursday appointed Commissioner of Police, Greater Chennai, replacing Abhin Dinesh Modak, the government said.
Amalraj, a 1996-batch IPS officer who was on compulsory wait, has been posted as Commissioner of Police, Greater Chennai.
Modak has been transferred and posted as Additional Director General of Police, Crime Branch-CID, according to an order issued by Home Secretary K Manivasan.
