Main opposition leader calls on higher court to save Turkey from 'disaster'

​Turkey's ​main opposition party ‌leader said ​on Thursday his ‌party applied to the Supreme Court of Appeals to object ‌to a ruling that ‌annulled his party's 2023 congress and removed him from ⁠the ​party ⁠leadership.

Ozgur Ozel called the court ⁠ruling "a coup against people" and ​said he expected the ⁠higher court to overturn ⁠the ​ruling and "save Turkey from a disaster," adding ⁠his party will resist ⁠the ruling.
