The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has denounced the violent attacks against Enforcement Directorate (ED) officers during recent raids in Kerala. The raids occurred outside the residence of former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, prompting BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar to express strong disapproval on social media.
Chandrasekhar stated, "Violence is the last refuge of the corrupt," emphasizing the party's position on obstruction and attacks on public servants. He accused the Communist Party of India (Marxist), or CPI(M), of resisting accountability and criticized the Congress-led state government for its silence in the matter.
Highlighting the importance of upholding law and order, Chandrasekhar remarked that no individual or political entity is exempt from legal scrutiny. He assured that the BJP-NDA will persist in its pursuit of justice without succumbing to intimidation.
This statement follows allegations of ED officials being attacked amid financial investigation raids involving Vijayan's daughter, raising concerns about political interference and public safety.
