Tempo Driver Arrested After Pedestrian Accident in Delhi
Delhi Police have detained a tempo driver who allegedly caused an accident involving a pedestrian, Shakuntala, and then collided with a road divider. The incident occurred near Bawana. Shakuntala was taken to LNJP Hospital, while police have launched an investigation.

A tempo driver has been arrested by Delhi Police following an incident where he allegedly struck a woman pedestrian and subsequently crashed into a road divider on Urban Extension Road-II near Bawana.
The incident took place in Sector-5, Bawana at around 6 pm on May 26. Police from the Narela Industrial Area station responded quickly to the scene.
The pedestrian, identified as 35-year-old Shakuntala from Choti Holambi, suffered injuries and was transported to a local hospital before being referred to LNJP Hospital for further treatment.
The driver was apprehended shortly after at the Metro Vihar police post and his vehicle has been seized. Authorities have filed a case under relevant legal sections, and investigations are currently ongoing.
