In a sharp critique of the Congress leadership amid swirling rumors of an imminent leadership change, Karnataka BJP President B Y Vijayendra voiced concerns about the state's governance under the ruling party. According to Vijayendra, the state's interests are sidelined, regardless of who assumes the Chief Ministerial position.

Accusing the Congress of fostering a financial crisis during its governance, Vijayendra strongly suggested that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's resignation was imminent, though he doubted any successor's ability to address the economic issues. He painted a grim picture of the state's fiscal distress, the plight of farmers, and rising unemployment among the youth.

Vijayendra also advocated for dissolving the Karnataka Legislative Assembly to pave the way for early elections, claiming that Congress's priorities lay elsewhere, treating Karnataka as a mere financial tool for the central party leadership. Meanwhile, Deputy CM DK Shivakumar's presence at a meeting at CM Siddaramaiah's residence signaled ongoing discussions amid persistent leadership transition rumors.
