In a strategic move to reinforce its organizational framework, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed new presidents for its state units in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Tripura. The announcement came on Thursday, signaling the party's intent to consolidate its influence ahead of future electoral challenges.
Kewal Singh Dhillon, a former ally of Punjab's ex-Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and an ex-Congress figure, has taken the reins in Punjab. Similarly, Harsh Malhotra, an established BJP leader and current Member of Parliament for East Delhi, has been tasked to lead the party's Delhi unit. His dual role as Union Minister of State in significant ministries underscores the party's high-stakes maneuvers.
In Haryana, Archana Gupta steps in as the new state president, following a heartfelt declaration of her commitment to the party's values on social media. Meanwhile, Abhishek Debroy, a key figure in Tripura politics, assumes leadership there, marking a pivotal reshuffling under national president Nitin Nabin.
