Authorities in Chhattisgarh's Surguja district are investigating allegations against BJP MLA Ramkumar Toppo and a revenue official. Both have lodged FIRs citing assault and misconduct following incidents in the Rajapur region. Toppo's supporters purportedly pressured official Tushar Manik to expedite a document, resulting in an altercation.
Conversely, Toppo's cousin claims that Manik misbehaved at a sub-tehsil office, prompting a case against him. Despite no arrests, the investigation continues, with both parties presenting conflicting narratives of the events. Efforts to reach Toppo for comment were not successful.
